Janette has worked in various roles in the higher education industry for over 8 years. She has extensive experience working with teenagers, parents and adults from different countries within APAC and is familiar with the common challenges and struggles teenagers and their families have. She also has an in-depth understanding of Asian and Western cultures and values. She is now pursuing her passion and is studying for a Master of Counselling at Monash University.
Janette is patient, empathetic and open. She has a special interest in helping children, adolescents and families. She aims at providing a safe, non-judgmental and private space for her clients and building a strong therapeutic relationship with them. Janette believes each of her clients is unique and tailors her therapeutic approach to the individual’s needs and preferences. Working with clients collaboratively, she helps address and change unhealthy patterns in an empathetic, systematic and holistic way.
Originally from Hong Kong, Janette has lived and worked in Australia for over 10 years. Janette is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
